Daddy's carving skills...Nice!
My Halloween costume - Chunky Monkey
Mommy, no more pisures....
ok. one more!
Daddy, you're scary and funny too.
Rawrghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
Boooo!!!

Halloween was exciting for Zach. We spent the evening with Mommy’s side of the family. Aunts,
Uncles and cousins they were all there having yummy Fiambre (traditional Guatemalan dish) and tasty carne asada. We didn’t get a chance to walk the neighborhood and do the trick or treating thing because Zach was done for the day and was ready for bed (no afternoon nap). He was very good at staying up for most of the afternoon, he enjoyed watching the kids carving (we don’t have any pictures), but they all looked great….Daddy did a great job carving Blue from Blue’s Clues and both Daddy and Zach had a great time scaring each other too.

Cottone and Sons Pumpkin Patch

Loving the Pumpkins
Get in my belly!!!

Mommy I don't like the hay

Daddy are you sure about this??!!!

Where's Zach?

We decided to go pumpkin hunting at Cottone and Sons Pumpkin Patch in Torrance. Zach did well while sitting between the pumpkins, but he wasn’t sure about the hay. He did like the pumpkins and wanted to touch them and eat them. Silly boy! We also checked out the goats and ponies, but Zach was not so much into them. By the time we went hunting for a pumpkin Zach was tired and in need of a good nap, so Daddy did most of the search by himself.

6 month appt!

shhh...watching tv on Daddy & Mommy's BIG bed!
I'm getting to be a big boy sitting by myself watching the game
I can play better defense than SC right now...
one of my last toothless grins
I'm ready for it to start getting cool

Zachary had his six month check up and here are his stats:

Weight- 19lb 1.5oz ( 75th percentile)

Height- 27 inches (75th percentile)

Head- 44 ½ inches (75th percentile)

We have had several people comment lately on how big Zach is, but his weight is actually not that big!! Just a little bit big!
He also received three shots. He didn't cry for the first one, but he did for the second one. We were also afraid he would be really fussy afterward, but he was still our happy, smiley baby!

Do you have any hot sauce?

Zachary has now started to eat solids. All of the foods that we've fed him he's taking a liking too. He's had sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, bananas, pears, yellow squash and rice cereal. He is not too crazy about drinking water but we're able to hide it in his cereal and formula. Thanks to Mike and Nicole showing us how it is done, we've been able to puree and freeze his food at home. With the exception of cereal we have yet to buy jarred food. Before Zach was born we were given a "gift" of jarred of bananas. The video below showed how much he loved those jarred bananas.

Zach is growing and surprising us with new stuff each day. All of the drooling and fussing have finally paid off with two bottom teeth. As soon as he lets us we will take a picture of his no longer toothless grin. One of his new favorite thing to do now with his teeth is to rub his tongue against them and to chew in every single toy he can get with his little hands. He is sitting up more and more everyday. He is also started to sleep up to 6 hours!! Who knew how great 6 consecutive hours would feel like...

Woking already!!

Zach still requires his two 15 minute break

Grandma Sanchez works from home as a Tupperware distributor and processes her clients orders through the internet. One day Zachary was up and about sitting in her lap while she was at her computer when all of the sudden Zach decided to put his little hands on the keyboard and started hitting the buttons just like Grandma. Ever since typing has become part of his daily routine so if anyone else needs help typing Zachary can do the job!
