April 22 - Birthday Boy!!

Zachary turned ONE!!!! We celebrated by having a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed party at Highlands Park in San Pedro. It was overcast in the morning, but we ended up having a sunny day. It turned out to be a great day. Our friends and family showed up and we played at the playground, threw around plastic balls and we even had an unexpected pinata. We had a taco guy come and cater for us; everyone thought the food was delicious. We’re so glad about the food because it was our first time having this taco guy. We ordered cupcakes from Torrance Bakery. They all had Mickey’s face on them which were yumm-O!!!

Thank you everyone for helping us celebrate Zachary’s especial day and for all of the great presents! Zachary is amazed with all of the new toys he gets to play with every day!


Zachary’s 12 month update, the doctor was happy to see Zachary growing where he should be.

Height: 32 - 3/4 inches (95%)
Weight: 23 lbs 8oz (65%)
Head: 47 1/2 cm (80%)
This means Zach is just like Daddy….tall, lean and with a BIG head.

We went to Irvine park to celebrate Ethan's 2nd Birthday. It was a railroad theme. There was lots of food and goodies to be eaten. Couple of the highlights were Zachary having his first pony ride. We weren't sure if Zach was able to ride the ponies because the age limit was one. However, Zach rode the ponies anyway. He did a great job riding the pony and wasn't scared at all. We also rode the train around the park. Everyone the train passed waved at Zachary and the rest of the gang who rode the train with us. We sang happy birthday to Ethan and once again Zach stared at the candles in awe. Thanks for inviting us to your birthday Ethan!

We celebrated Grandpa's birthday at Buca Di Beppo!!! Grandma, Auntie Astrid, Auntie Janelle, Uncle Harold, Mommy and Daddy were all there to enjoy yummy food. After the lunch we had delicious carrot cake (Grandpa's favorite). We were hoping Zachary would help Grandpa blow out his candles but he was confused and only kept starring at the candles...maybe next year!!

There's no doubt that becoming a mom was the greatest thing I'll ever do.

Having him in my life is truly rewarding.

Christmas....

Our first Christmas as a family was amazing. We spent time with family and had delicious food along with TONS of gifts for Zachary. He received a whole new wardrobe and a whole new set of toys. Thanks everyone!! Couple of updates: Zach is now eating meats (chicken, turkey, beef), he LOVES Mickey Mouse (can't get enough of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song), he likes to "jump" on the bed, loves to scoot around in his Jeep walker and most of all likes to throw his toys especially his ball. Happy New Year everyone!!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Daddy had a wonderful 34th birffday. Zach got into the spirit of dad's birffday by spiking his hair at GP's request. We had yummy prime rib, stuffed mushrooms, potatoes and sprinkled sugar filled cake picked out by Caden. Thanks cousin it was "yummy"! For dad's birffday Zach gave daddy a new kit aka soccer jersey, go Man U and a full 10 hour sleep. Both mommy and daddy were in heaven...
