Mother's Day

It is still taking us as Mom & Dad to get used to getting to places on time. Instead of getting ready to leave an hour and a half prior to, we have quickly figured out that it needs to be doubled if not more. Zachary has quickly learned how to time his feedings, soothing and meeting times, i.e. blowing it out as we are getting ready. Even though we've gone out a few times, we’ve had to start and stop to and make sure his needs are met. Once his needs are meet, he makes it worthwhile with a smile or is it a smirk knowing he’s just messing with us?
We spent the first Mother's Day at Grandma's house. Zachary was as happy as a pig in mud. Everyone wanted to hold him and he was happy to oblige them. From the moment we walked into Grandma’s house everyone had their arms out to hold him. From Great Grandma, to Grandma, to Aunt Morgan and Aunt Jenn, to Uncle Mario and Aunt Leslie held Zachary is it "Zacharone" Aunt Leslie? Cailin wasn't too sure about Zachary and every time he was near, she just stared and to say, "Hey who's this kid? I'm the baby around here, not you, you little pip squeak." Caden held him too, even though when he slept, Caden kept prying his eyes open to see what they looked like. Ha! He proceeded for the entire five hours we were there to be held and sleep his day away. Everyone commented on what a good boy he was and didn’t make a peep, except for when he was hungry or needed his diaper changed. When the day was done and we got home is when Zachary woke up and began his day. He was up from 9-11:30 and then at 1, 3 and 4:30 and with no regard for Dad needing to get up at 6 to go back to work for the first time since Zachary came into this world. Oh well such is life with a newborn.
